Range Procedures and Rules - Safety Card
1. All actions on firearms are to be open and firearms unloaded except during actual firing procedure.
2. Don't aim any firearm from behind the firing lines for any purpose.
3. When a cease fire is called, and any- one may call one, all firing will end immediately. (It's normal to ask other people for just a standard target cease fire.)
4. During cease fire everyone on the firing line will step behind the yellow line away from the firearms which should be pointed down range "in the rack" or in the safest direction.
5. Only paper targets may then be attached in a manner to prevent bullets from hitting frames and to ensure safe impacting into the back stops.
6. Adjusting or handling of firearms or equipment on the firing line during the cease fire or when anyone is down range is strictly prohibited.
7. When everyone is back from hanging targets or removing targets, policing brass, etc., a ready condition should be called by the shooter calling "cease fire" and if the firing line is ready, firing will commence.
8. On completing firing, any targets used or hung will be removed by shooter, brass policed and any club staplers, scopes, etc., returned to their proper location.
9. Firing will be done only from established firing points and no cross firing allowed.
10. Fully automatic fire is not permitted on this range.
11. Ear and eye protection is required.
12. Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
13. During an organized shoot, additional rules may be in effect along with the above rules and procedures.
14. No alcoholic beverages allowed on the firing line. No use of Alcohol or Drugs before or while shooting.
15. Additional rules and procedures for the shotgun and indoor range are posted at these ranges.
16. All members will be responsible for the reinforcing of these rules.
